What is our goal in the long run?
The PEEK Initiative recruits undergraduate students and professionals dedicated to mentoring and providing support to elementary students in underprivileged communities through STEM education. Our Mentors are tasked with teaching engineering concepts in a fun and motivating environment.
They are part friend, part counselor, part teacher, and ideal role models to our students. Mentors are required to engage in a week of training prior to the program that focuses on child and program safety, leadership, classroom management, and curriculum implementation.
